Preface: About the Journey
"Faith is the state of being ultimately concerned."- Paul Tillich

Thank you for exploring my culminating portfolio for the Student Development Administration program. My portfolio presentation date is April 25, 2014. I acknowledge that each individual in my life will be viewing this website from a different perspective, and so I want to be as explicit as possible.

"An individual's response to God's love cannot merely be theoretical, but must lead to action and service to the human community."- St. Ignatius

Faith & Compassionate Action
While this platform serves as an assessment and evaluation of my growth over the past 2 years, faith, compassion, and action define who I am and who I strive to be. Friends and family back home know what a (stubborn) leap of faith it took for me to make the commitment to pursue this Master's degree. My peers, colleagues, and students inspire me to take such a personally rooted feeling and turn it into justice and advocacy for education. Seattle University has informed how I do so. The institution values care, academic excellence, diversity, faith, justice, and leadership. It's mission vows to be "dedicated to educating the whole person, to professional formation, and to empowering leaders for a just and humane world." With that small foreword, I hope you better understand the context I am coming from.

Happy viewing!
