During my time at Highline Community College (spring 2013), I created this document and then began collecting resources and curriculum materials for the course's reformation. It was completed and presented to the TRIO staff and other campus administrators back in April.

Transfer preparation is a common mission of community colleges, and my growth is demonstrated in my understanding of the realities of that need. This entry also demonstrates how my temporary role challenged me to navigate through an already established system of preparation. I was tasked with and learned how to keep what made the system strong and expand upon would could make it better.

Since a majority of my work at Highline was in the form of proposals and suggestions, this entry addresses learning outcome eight, communicating effectively in speech and in writing. I worked to create a new model for change, so I had to make sure my language and ideals for the proposal were clear. It was also important to leave plenty of resources and curriculum materials for action steps in moving forward with this plan after I was no longer at Highline.
