In the summer of 2013, I interned for Cornish College of the Arts. I was there from June to September. I gave this seminar presentation in the middle of November, and it served as my final course objective for the 200 hours I completed at that site. The presentation was 20 minutes total.

This was my second seminar presentation, and the style in which I presented greatly improved. While the first one lacked teachable content, this one taught me that I am a presenter who likes to connect thoughts to the bigger ideas and frameworks of learning outcomes and theories. I thoroughly and fluidly shared my personal interest in Cornish, what I gained from the experience, and what my contribution to their Student Life office was.

Adapting student services to specific environments and cultures is a theme to this artifact and was a theme to my time at Cornish. I was out of my comfort zone there as I explored a new institution type and a new functional area, but I showed conviction in how I reacted to timely matters of accessibility and advocated for a longer orientation leader training.
